As of November 28, 2018, GNB Voc-Tech’s Business Professionals of America organization collected over two hundred and fifty non-perishable items. The group first came together to United Ways New Bedford and had every student participating donate three non-perishable items. With 80 students is the group this year plus some students donating more cans, the students came out with over two hundred and fifty cans.

On November 10, 2018, BPA members went out to Buttonwood Park in New Bedford to collect, sort, and help pack up all the the non-perishable items to the school’s Public Relations Van. The PR Van delivered the food to a United Way’s truck. United Way then brought their van back to school with some more donations they acquired. BPA students and United Way members worked together to make food baskets for those in need of food for Thanksgiving.
