History Field Trip – 2024
by Collin Ponichtera
Mrs. Blanchette’s history class went on a field trip to Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. The trip lasted the entire school day and gave students an opportunity to learn more about the history of Boston and the history of art. Students observed ancient artistry and modern masterpieces, local legends, and global visionaries, the renowned collection of nearly 500,000 works tells the story of the human experience.
For part of the class assignment, students had to take a picture of themselves with an art piece from the museum and then construct a slide show presentation based on the artwork, its history and personal impact the art has on them.
It was a great field trip and real-world exposure to a place that not many of our classmates had visited prior. Visiting art galleries is also an excellent way to reduce stress, be in just the moment, and learn about your culture, history, and the world.
