Attention all students at Greater New Bedford Voc-Tech. If you’re interested in running for class office, now is the time to get involved. To start your campaign, complete the attached form and return it to Mrs. Fatula in room B356 or Mrs. O’Neill in room B344 by September 18, 2024. Remember, no forms will be accepted after this deadline. no exceptions!

Once all candidates are confirmed, the names will be announced on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. The official campaign period will run from Thursday, September 26 to Thursday, October 3, 2024. The elections themselves will take place in the Google Classroom on Friday, October, with the results being announced on Tuesday, October 8th.

Students are permitted to campaign only after their form has been returned and approved by Mrs. Fatula or Mrs. O’Neill, and only during the designated campaign period. All posters and campaign materials must be approved by either Mrs. Fatula or Mrs. O’Neill before being displayed or distributed. Food is not allowed as a campaign material. Unapproved materials will be removed, and this will result in disqualification from the election. Campaign materials can only be posted in approved areas, such as cafeteria bulletin boards or classrooms with teacher permission, and not on walls. Students are also responsible for removing their materials by the end of the school day after the election. To participate, students must maintain an academic and discipline record in good standing. Failure to follow any of these rules will result in disqualification from the race.

This is your chance to make a difference in your school community, so give it your best effort and follow the guidelines carefully. Best of luck to all candidates in their campaigns, and GNBVT can’t wait to see what you bring to the table. Good luck!
