The Gender Sexuality Alliance is a student organization that works to provide a safe and supportive environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) youth and their straight allies. The main goal of our group is to raise awareness and make our school community safe and welcoming to all students regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. We participate in nationally-recognized campaigns to raise awareness, such as “Day of Silence”, “National Coming Out Day”, “No Name Calling Week”, “Transgender Awareness Day”, and similar locally organized events. We help our members to network and connect with local resources.
