¡Feliz otoño, familia de Voc-Tech!
As the leaves start to fall, I hope you are all settling into the new school year. I’m thrilled to share with you that it’s Hispanic Heritage Month, a special time to honor and celebrate the vibrant cultures and contributions of our Hispanic community here at GNBVT.
I’m also excited to announce my first School Council meeting on October 8th! This is a great opportunity for parents, teachers, and students to come together as we discuss important topics like the school’s budget, the Student Handbook, and other key initiatives. Your input is invaluable, and I encourage everyone to participate. More information on how to join these meetings is available in this newsletter.
Looking ahead, on October 3rd, our juniors and seniors will have the chance to explore over 60 colleges and universities at our College Fair, right here in our Field House. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to ask questions and learn more about their post-graduation plans.
Stay tuned for more updates and events! I’m looking forward to a great fall season with all of you.
Warm regards,
Principal Williams

For over 50 years, Hispanic Heritage Month has been
celebrated in the U.S. from September 15 – October 15. It
is a time to honor and celebrate the contributions and
diversity of the the Hispanic and Latino culture which
includes roots from Spain, Mexico, Central America, South
America and Spanish-speaking nations of the Caribbean.
Let’s celebrate Hispanic culture all year long by enjoying
Hispanic music, foods, reading books by Hispanic authors
or explore learning to speak Spanish.
Did you know that 19% of the U.S. population identifies as
Hispanic. More than 63 million people in the U.S., or one
in five people, identify as Hispanic.
