SBIRT Screening
The SBIRT – (Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment) screening is a Massachusetts mandated health screening done for all ninth grade students. This screen focuses on the use of alcohol, marijuana and other substances, and the importance of health decisions.
All the SBIRT screening participants will be screened confidentially by our trained school nurses and counselors in private one-on-one sessions. We will utilize the CRAFFT II screening tool, the most commonly used substance use screening tool for adolescents in Massachusetts.
The SBIRT screenings will be conducted out of shop time for all freshmen during Cycles 20 & 21, March 4 – March 19.
Any questions, contact the School Nurse’s Office at (508) 998-3321, Monday-Friday 7:30am – 3pm. Thank you.
